City Year Corps Member Gives Back to Her Community
In 2012, Fatima earned her bachelor’s degree in history from the University of the Pacific in her hometown of Stockton, Calif. She was the first in her family to graduate. Fatima’s father had attended college but never earned his degree due to financial issues; he urged Fatima to finish.
Now she is working as a City Year Corps Member and is helping make a difference in students' lives.
